26 [a]As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, “Help me, my lord, O king.” 27 He said, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?”
28 The king said to her, “What do you want?” She said, “This woman said to me, ‘Give me your son, so that we can eat him today. We can eat my son tomorrow.’
